THE STORY BEHIND THE ASSOCIATION PRELUDE TO FAME

Prelude to Fame is a French non-profit association created in 2025 dedicated to one mission: promoting exceptionally talented young musicians online.

The idea came to its founder and current chairman, Pierre, when he discovered the extraordinary piano prodigy Elisey Mysin, born in late 2010 and already the recipient of numerous international awards.

Pierre immediately felt the urge to bring gifted artists like him in the spotlight. As luck would have it, Elisey went to Italy in October 2024, which allowed Pierre and his Swiss filmmaker friend Omar Agustoni, and the Digitales recording studio from Milan, to film Elisey’s recital live.

This led to the first video, entitled ‘Elisey Mysin, meeting a prodigy’, and to wider exposure through its release on YouTube.

In August 2025, Elisey performed at the Sant Pere de Rodes Classical Music Festival in Catalonia. This occasion couldn’t be missed. Thanks to the enthusiasm of Elisey and his mum, it resulted in a four-day film shoot in Spain, providing enough material to create a documentary dedicated to him and now available on this website.

This film was enriched by the wonderful cooperation of Janet Wantling, a close British friend of Elisey's family who organised his first recital in England in May 2025, and who became our charming voice-over.

In addition to the documentary, you will also have access to high-quality and ad-free video recordings of Elisey. Our aim is to allow you to enjoy the unique talent of this young pianist in the best possible conditions.

As we pursue our quest to find other young musicians with such rare sensitivity, we hope, to begin with, to be able to produce more recordings of Elisey.
